Camille Dugas
Camille Dugas works for opera, dance and theater. She used to collabored with the directors such as Laurent Pelly (Lakmé at Opéra Comique de Paris, La Cantatrice chauve and L’oiseau Vert at Théâtre National de Toulouse, Le Comte Ory at Opéra de Lyon and Scala of Milan), Damiano Michieletto (Don Pasquale at Palais Garnier, The Barber of Seville and Samson and Dalila at Opera Bastille), Arnaud Bernard (Tosca at Prague National Opera, Vespri Siciliani at the Mariinsky of St. Petersburg), Netia Jones (Les Noces de Figaro at Opera Bastille) ; choreographers Benjamin Millepied (Apassionata at Palais Garnier and Daphnis and Chloé at Opéra Bastille), Martin Chaix (Ma Mère l'Oye at Opéra Garnier), Justin Peck (Entre chien et loup at Opéra Bastille ) and with artists such as Daniel Buren (Daphnis and Chloé at Opéra Bastille), Christian Lacroix (Dream of a summer night at the Opéra Bastille) or John Baldessari (Entre chien et loup at Opéra Bastille).
She also creates costumes and lighting, notably for the Paris Chamber Music Center and the companies: Deux Croches Rondes, Les Apicoles, Clarance, Les dents et au lit...
Camille Dugas is very committed to protecting the environment. She is at the origin of the publication, in 2022, Manifesto of eco-scenography in live performance, which is now published in several languages. She regularly gives talks on this subject during events or in schools.
Camille Dugas studied stage design, interior design and theater at the Sorbonne Nouvelle and at the Ecole Supérieure des Arts et Techniques in Paris, where she graduated major of promotion. After she began her career at the Opera Garnier office in Paris, she became assistant to the set designer Chantal Thomas, with whom she collaborated for several years (Robert the Devil at Royal Opera House in London; Hoffmann's Tales at Gran Theatre del Liceu of Barcelona, Traviata at the Santa Fe Opera, I Puritani at Opera de Paris, Don Pasquale at the Santa Fe Opera and Gran Theatre del Liceu of Barcelona, L'Etoile at Dutch National Opera of Amsterdam, Barbe Bleue at Opéra de Lyon).
